26 Contact Hours/ 26 Continuing Education Credits will be provided by the Albert Ellis Institute upon successful completion of the training.


PROGRAM
The Associate Fellowship Certificate Program is the highest level of external training after the Advanced Certificate. Practitioners will deepen their REBT skills through individual supervision and participation in advanced topic seminars.


Special Topics Seminars include, but are not limited to, Working with Resistant Clients; REBT with Personality Disorders; Treatment of Eating Disorders; Managing Addictions; REBT and The Treatment of Anxiety Disorders; Special Considerations in the Practice of REBT.

Participants will learn to:

  • Apply effective techniques for working with resistant clients
  • Describe REBT’s theory of personality disorders
  • Apply effective techniques for working with eating disorder clients
  • Demonstrate intervention skills for clients with addictions
  • Describe at least two behavioral strategies for working with clients with anxiety disorders

     

    Prerequisite: Primary and Advanced Certificate in REBT.  All candidates must be practicing clinically during the duration (pre and post 4-day practicum) of the Associate Fellowship Certificate Program.

    During the Practicum: Participants must be prepared to present 5 full-length (45 minutes) recordings for supervision of their REBT skills.

    Following the Practicum: In the year following, participants must have 10 full-length (45-minute) recordings supervised by at least three different REBT Faculty Trainers. Participants arrange payment with their individual supervisors.  Participants should not submit all 10 recordings at one time. The goal is to receive supervisory feedback and build upon that feedback.

    When all 10 recordings are completed, participants submit a full-length (45-minute session) "Golden” recording, $250.00 US, and their application for the Associate Fellowship Certificate to Dr. Kristene Doyle (krisdoyle@albertellis.org) for review by a member of the International Training Standards and Policy Review Committee.

    CERTIFICATE

    Matriculants who successfully complete all program requirements will be eligible for Associate Fellowship membership of the Albert Ellis Institute. 

    ELIGIBILITY

    Open to licensed or license-eligible psychologists and social workers, physicians, nurses, clergy, and holders of master’s degrees treating clients in supervised settings.

    The Albert Ellis Institute incurs significant administrative costs related to your registration, if for any reason you need to cancel your registration we have the following options available:
